As we already know that WordPress CMS is the most popular website development platform. This CMS lets the users create some really dynamic websites for clients. MS Publisher was usually used to publish content on the website. There is an infinite power of creation and development of blogs as well as the most complex websites that WordPress has always stored in it and which has reached to so many people around the world. You will not believe but WordPress has already provided as a means to earn money for so many people as WordPress website freelancers.

It is completely true that you can not completely leverage the benefits and power of blogs until you know that it is more beneficial to transfer HTML content to WordPress in every way possible. And the reason why this content has to be imported by following the steps that we have mentioned in this blog is because we still don’t have the option to automatically import the page content to WordPress from the very old HTML website.

Using plugins to import page content to WordPress:

There are great plugins that lets you import HTML content to WordPress pages and comments from all old HTML websites. Especially on large HTML sites, you can also import linked images. It may seem like a cumbersome process but you can go on with this process in a very calm manner as well as hassle-free manner too because it is using a plugin. Using this method will save your time. This plugin is called HTML Import 2, a complex WordPress plugin that needs the WordPress developer to configure multiple settings before importing files or content in this case.

After installation, this WordPress plugin can import files, content, link images, titles, messages, pages, products, categories, tags, categories. Before you begin this process, you must install WordPress from WordPress.org before installing the import interface.

But you must first backup all the files so that you do not lose your website content at any cost.

● File settings:

Directory Import: Enter the absolute URL of the imported directory. The plugin usually shows the absolute path of the web server, make sure you have the correct directory. Example: /home/ hosting/ public_html/ domain.

Old Website URL: This is only used to create accurate .htaccess redirects. The importer is not looking for files here.

Default file: It is important to write the default filename of the directory for the old site server (index.html, default.html). Example: index.html

Include File Extension:  Enter a file extension separated by a comma without a full period. Example: html, htm, shtml. All other file types are ignored.

Directory to be deleted: Enter directory names separated by commas without a slash. All files in these directories are ignored. Examples: Images, including templates.

Here are the Content Settings you need to make using the plugin:
